Bhaag Pinky Bhaag.!!!

"The first and most valuable possible wealth in this world is our health" -Ralph Waldo Emerson

It has been rightly said that “a healthy brain resides in a healthy body” However in the modern lifestyle it has become impossible to take proper care of our fitness and exercise. Running is an activity that not only promotes well being but also raises immunity levels and improves health, to help fight diseases like cancer.

Realizing the above need Mr. Milind Soman, the avid runner & model and Maximus Events is organizing 10 KM running event exclusively for women "the Pinkathon" across 12 cities in India. The focus of this event is to encourage women's health & fitness and create awareness for Breast Cancer. It is a platform for women to show solidarity for a cause that they or their loved ones could fall a prey to.

This event series will be focused on raising awareness of breast cancer, its prevention and treatment, for which we are partnering with the Women's Cancer Initiative and the Tata Memorial Hospital. The object behind initiating this sport discipline is because running addresses the best top 10 ways in preventing breast cancer and the distance of 10km, though a challenge is not a daunting one. This makes the women's 10km run a popular event all over the world and many cities across the globe have their own editions. In partnership with Women's Cancer Initiative (WCI) and Tata Memorial Hospital, all participants are also encouraged to raise money through the Pinkathon, which will be donated directly to the cause.

The first ever Pinkathon was held in Mumbai, on the 16th of December 2012 followed by Bangalore on the 7th of April 2013. More than 6000 women of all ages, across all walks of life participated in the event. This year, 2013, this cause is well appreciated and promoted by Symbiosis Law School, Noida that is associated in the organisation of the Pinkathon in Delhi on September 15, 2013.

We are happy to announce registration open to all female students of Symbiosis Law School Noida to join the cause. The registration fee per candidate shall be RS 250/- and all the candidates will be entitled to get a T-Shirt of being a Pink Sister along with a goody bag.
