First Birthday :D

When you are at school, we get various ideas about getting out of the house, from the protective shell of our parents, to explore, to experience and to build ourselves. Some choose to be rebellious. Some choose to be obedient. Some follow the usual path; some dare to go to the path not taken.

A year back, we decided to do the same.

To build our name; to being a part of something; to be inclined towards our destiny; which landed us to the place where we are standing and looking behind to the journey of building this place, and ourselves, brick by brick, inch by inch, one day at a time.

Last year, about October end, and November, the college wasn’t starting! We were so skeptical. People criticized our decision to be a part of a new college, and risking our whole career. But then, what is like if there are no risks involved? And today, we don’t regret the risk taken a year back. The dices we threw in a pitch black tunnel, knowing, that it would strike the highest when we emerge to the other lit end of this tunnel.  

We learnt to accept that “Sundays might be a holiday” and grew to enjoy this.

We started with knowing two teachers, and one staff member, to almost 15 teachers and increasing count of staff members (non-teaching)

We learnt the definition of an institute as a family.

We proved that there is a thing called “Super-Cool” faculty.

We leant to judge the characters of people around us; to make friends, to trust and to live up to that trust.  

To respect each other

To understand that every corner we turn in this college, there is a new talent emerging at every new step and acknowledging it.

To making a building alive. To building a college, home.

To learn to welcome new members, and teaching them the rules of family that comes naturally to us when we are in campus.

To be proud of what we have achieved in so less time, being modest and bend our head in gratitude and never stopping to achieve something new.

To persevere, and being dedicated.

To believing with all our heart that the decision to be a part of the Symbiosis Family was a wise decision, and having no regrets.

To having complains, and to resolving them amicably. 

To trying to hate college and yet never taking a step back when it was about the college.

To being nostalgic, and happy about the memories we created.

To being a part of this, and being proud!

SLS Noida has become a home away from home for all of us. Being the very first batch, and introducing all amount of cultures, and traditions, competitions and ideas have made us the architect of the soul of this college.

We have spent 365 days here. One year! Already done! We have seen ups and downs. We have laughed, we have cried. We have fought, we have made amendments. We have cribbed, we have joked. We have shared what a lot of institutions cannot achieve. We have lived through the feeling of creating what SLS seems today.

Always proud, and the part of the wonderful family …
