INDIA- DEMOCRACY IN SHAMBLES.??

A democracy where the government is by the people, for the people and of the people, but is this visible or just an illusion.? Democracy is no more than a zoot suit today, which has been taken over by Armani or Gucci i.e. Anna and Ramdev of today's time. We hardly have any idea today of what democracy is as I already said it's just an illusion for us."
Corruption and hypocrisy ought not to be inevitable products of democracy, as they undoubtedly are today" (Mahatma Gandhi).
We are living in a state where poverty, hunger, illiteracy, have been prominent. A state which has seen the most bloodiest riots, which came from nowhere to 'somewhere'. What we are waiting for is a change, but after all we are Indians, "why change", hence things continue to be the same.

India nowhere falls within the definition of democracy given by Abraham Lincoln, it has totally zagged away from it, the reason being that our so called democratic country is no more for its citizens. We no more can feel the zing of democracy but why.? Is democracy only limited to stand in some corner of the street and relax yourself?

We are happy just by casting our votes, and we are happy  when government changes,  but we forget that after all, all of them are a chip of the same old block, all are top guns in the field of corruption.
Statements are many but the fact is one, and the most assertive fact is that, it is true that we can remove the rotten stem of corruption but not the corruption which is at the grass root level.

Once considered as the brainchild of thought, knowledge, and destined to be a great country, India's tryst and destiny have met with paralysis. The toothsome fact of being a democratic country has been shattered, as now we can see the rise of rebellion into the core structure of our motherland. After all that we faced, 2g , CWG, 'ye g', 'wo g' and many such 'G', what further can we expect from our so called democratic nation.? No sooner it was over we came across Adarsh scam, all these with a combined force set ablaze our country on fire, the fire of corruption and the fire spread and engulfed the entire nation State by State. The bottom line, if the political parties are not looking after us rather being indulged in their own hereditary activities. The opposition being no less, boycotting every parliamentary session, making a choice and not letting the parliament work, collecting some cheap brownies from the national disaster and playing state wise politics.

Then came so called "saviors" who took  the risk of taking up the cudgel and purging the motherland from every morsel of corruption, and in doing so they very much killed the democracy to the fullest.
The call of civil society by team Anna, the movement taken out at Jantar Mantar, and forcing the government to go down on knees and asking them to surrender to their demands (instead they wanted them to surrender democracy and a new form of government would have been brought in, "civil society government.). Violating the due process to achieve a goal — and this is admittedly a noble goal — is adding to the problem. It sows the seeds of anarchy. This is a trial by the media and trial by a kangaroo court. Who are Anna Hazare or his followers to decide what should or should not be included in the Lokpal Bill. Leave it to Parliament. That's what you elected them for.
When Anna phenomena ka 'zamana' was 'diwana' someone really felt insecured, this gave rise to sleeping opportunism in a yoga guru named 'Ramdev' followed by a 'Baba'.

Baba ji rather went a step ahead of Anna in the fight for saving our motherland from the corruption which is similar to the ever widening mouth of 'sursa'. He tried everything from drama to melodrama and even showed some 'lila' at Ramlila ground. The yoga master was even arrested by Delhi police when he tried escaping from there as a mistress (after all 'democracy'). This man owns a property of 1100 crores and he claims to give yoga lessons for free. How can a riff raff person like Yadav ji of 90s become 1100 crores owner Baba Ramdev in 2013. Strange.!

Statements were made by the government that let the yogic to yoga rather than teaching the government a lesson, but sir, you should know that this is democracy if we are not allowed to do whatever we want we will go on a "fast until death" whenever we want. Let us unite some people go out in streets shout bad slogans and get whatever we want. Take out processions light up candles mess out streets disrespect our national flag in various ways during the protest and demand boldly as we are living in a democratic state.
We only see such shady figures coming up, who do not even respect our constitution , nor do they know the word democracy (of which they have misused the most) how can such a person be a watchdog of our democratic nation.?

Now the question arises is that , where is democracy.? 64 years of independence and still we see a village in 24 Parganas (West Bengal) starving for two times meal, still we see child marriage in sub-urban parts of Jaipur, we feel proud calling our self a male chauvinist, people still die of hunger, still farmers commit suicide, still there are no job opportunities, girls are still being raped openly, on protesting you are being branded as a Communist, miseries are being the prime politicizing issues in today's world, people die and our Netaas play vote bank politics, electricity have not yet reached most remote parts of India, hunger strikes is the new mode of gaining attention, anti- religious comments are ignored when made by political leaders but a genuine question asked by a student (Under her right to freedom of expression) ends her up in jail,....... and the list is never ending.

What is going around in our country?, what are the measures taken?, where is our money going? , where is transparency? Is India one or twenty six?   Where is the accountability of the government officials? Is expressing yourself freely a crime? Where are our Constitutional rights?  And finally where is democracy.?

Can we have an answer, or would I be thrown behind bars?

To conclude this, I would just like to mention a famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi:
""Democracy is a great institution and, therefore, it is liable to be greatly abused.". Strange but True.

Expressions......

.
1.The Incomplete Hour
It's half past
an hour,
And a dove
awakes.

It's half past
an hour,
An arrow is
chosen.

It's half past
an hour,
everything is
still.

It's half past
an hour,
some mercy
is spilled.

It's half past
an hour,
instincts are
shadowed.

It's half past
an hour,
duties are
fulfilled.

It's half past
an hour,
and the dawn
breaks.

It's half past
an hour,
a trace of the
moon remains.

2.Roses

Open field, and
I lay there
looking at the sky
Inhaling the scent of
Love, of a single
Butterfly.

There is a beat,
which followed a preexisted
Beat, and a beat after that.
Every beat spills a shade,
A shade of certain darkness.

There is a beat,
which succeeded the previous
Beat, and there will be a beat,
After that.

The field echoes the beats,
Darkness consumes,
The single butterfly.

      ***

I still lay there,
Looking at the sky,
Beats and darkness fully around.
I search for that scent,
That scent of the love lorn butterfly.
I get none, but a question
"Do you have a rose ?"

       ***

"Do you have a rose ?"
The scent of that question,
Now prevails.

The Changing trend of Social Life

‘Change is the law of life’ as quoted by John F Kennedy, indeed from the day we are born , the day we step into our teenage to we get into adulthood and so forth, the social life revolving around us takes many  spins. The pace with which we adjust, adapt and maintain our relationship with persons as according to our comfort level shapes our entire scheme of Social life. Social life can also be strictly viewed as to people we meet on regular basis and share a relationship be as a friend, mentor, acquaintance.
Social Life is not a new topic but can be put as a hot potato, the way the society changes and moulds itself so does the social life changes its outfit. In the earlier times much before the foundations of the modern society, social life was much restricted to gathering in its primitive form. As the early society was predominantly dominated by the male members, social life was majorly on the male part of the society. Travelling a little further into time when female part of the society started to gain more recognization in the picture of social life, the social life yet again enclave newer terms and adapted to female participation. Social life on general basis cannot be a stagnant.
The traditions which we follow and culture to we belong are the draws the lines of our social life, a custom a practice followed in a particular region holds the same stance. Many Countries has its own way of executing the freedom to which people can interact for ex Arab States, Western Countries, eastern countries, Asia , etc. These parameters are influential in one’s life and shape the social life. Liberation of thought process which again helps in constructing society flexibility helps in defining the social life.
Teenage is the most volatile part of one’s life, teenagers sense new feelings, emotions and a completely different behavior from childhood, it’s the first step towards ones social life and a  major part of life i.e adulthood.  The first change of social life begins with the teenage, we came across bonds that we make with new people and perform it to the desire of its significance to us. Scientifically it has been proved body starts to change and hormones are released which embodies all the different emotions we carry. Thus proper care and attention should be kept by one so as to one drop into the healthy and correct part of social life. Stepping into adulthood is the most important part that sculpts our social life. This part includes High School, College , Occupation and so on. This age include many important life events both the ups and down as a part of life which indirectly supports the bridge of one’s behavior and attitude towards the people which he interacts.
Now coming on to the point of changing nature of the Social Life. The world which we live in today is tangled bush. There are wide array of complexities which we deal on regular basis. Competition has today taken the world driving force and as humans being adaptive have adapted this attribute of the world as its own personal factor. The pure cut in emotions and compassion for the fellow human being has slowly loosing its importance to this new greater rule of this world i.e Competition. Friends are also taken as competitors and every bit of our utilities are absorbed and these as our benefits sometimes cross the fundamentals of friendship which causes distress in personal life. Social life are now being harnessed and tempered to fulfills personal greed and targets. The evil behavior  which was once a taboo in now a common practice. Relationships now are held by weak forces of bonds and are easily build and dismantled in a very short period of time. The issue of Social life is thus very important as these sudden and drastic changes brings friction and instability for the young and unprepared class of the society. The bottom line lies with are we ready to adapt as quick as the situation demands ? Every individual has its own tolerance limit and adaptability factor for the social life which he/she is a part. In the end social life for human being is very important as human beings are social animals, but a moral and ethical structure should first be installed so that each individual can tackle with the harshness with which he/she builds his/her own Social life
